Our Favourite Neighbours at The Tannery

Bracken Workspace Plus Our Favourite Neighbours at The Tannery

The Tannery sits just one mile outside Leeds’ city centre and in the heart of the city’s media corridor on Kirkstall Road, offering extensive on-site car parking and fantastic road links to the M1, M62 & M621.

Since opening The Tannery back in 2010, the local area has changed quite dramatically, investors and entrepreneurs recognised the huge potential for both commercial and residential opportunities and so the area has attracted a number of new and upcoming businesses. This means we at the Tannery are fortunate to have some great neighbours right on our door stop.

Firstly, we have Doboy Donuts which opened in 2020 and has very quickly turned into a popular place to get a donut and an excellent cup of coffee. Needless to say, with items such as Caramel Fudge and Cinnamon Churros & Chocolate on its menu, it is a BIG favourite with many of our clients here at The Tannery.

Just across the road we have My Lahore which originally started out in Bradford in 2002 and has expanded to most of the larger cities within the UK. The concept is an easy one that obviously works very well, with its fusion of British and Asian, it offers everything from Samosas to Shepherd’s Pie.

Archive arrived in 2019, the building was the former ITV archive centre (hence the name) but now offers a variety of fresh, locally sourced foods, great coffee and a selection of beers. There is also a great event space which is ideal for exhibitions, private parties and live bands.

Kirkstall Brewery is our newest neighbour and only opened in January of this year. Now one of four pubs in the local area, the venue showcases a large range of beers from the Kirkstall Brewery itself. They also serve an array of delicious pizzas and salads which makes it a great place for lunch or an after work gathering.

A short walk away we are also fortunate to have Cardigan Fields and Kirkstall Shopping Park which offers a selection of retail outlets, restaurants and entertainment venues such as a cinema, bowling and laser zone to support this ever-growing area of the city. These amenities are incredibly useful for our clients based at the Tannery who can pop out at lunchtime to do their shopping at Morrisons or have a little retail therapy after a hard day in the office.

All of these ventures have enhanced the local area and have provided our clients here at The Tannery with some much-loved alternatives to their normal packed lunches. We are also looking forward to the new development “City Reach” which will be situated just down the road. The plans include high quality homes and commercial space along with public space including 2 parks and a riverside walk! So it looks like The Tannery could soon have even more neighbours to get to know in 2020 and beyond.
